BetDex Exchange, established by FanDuel founder Nigel Eccles, has been granted a license and oversight by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, making it the inaugural regulated blockchain wagering platform.
BetDex now stands as the first fully regulated sports betting platform within the Web3 domain. The enterprise was established just a year ago by former FanDuel executives Varun Sudhakar, Stuart Tonner, and Nigel Eccles, who serve as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chairman, respectively. Shortly after its inception, BetDex declared an initial investment round, securing $21 million.

The platform just unveiled its public trial version and has already received wagers from more than 12,000 early adopters in recent weeks. They take bets from nations in South America, Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa. BetDex presently provides peer-to-peer sports wagering on soccer and is anticipated to incorporate additional sports shortly.
